Heal Country
We collaborate with property owners/managers and Aboriginal people to bring together a holistic understanding of Country, assess its health, identify threats and implement actions that heal Country and people for the long-term. This involves:
Weed management and green waste - removing weeds/green waste, transforming it into biochar for reuse on the property or in land regeneration elsewhere.
Seed collecting, propagating and planting local plants.
Truth-telling - learning stories and histories of the property and area, and facilitating ways to live well on Country today.
Facilitating re-connection with Country, ceremonial and cultural practices by Aboriginal people.
Biochar kiln - turning green waste into healthy soil, water purifier or concrete / asphalt aggregate. Our mobile kiln can access many places to burn green waste on-site. The kiln design reduces smoke-borne carbon emissions. The kiln process turns green waste into pure carbon. Biochar retains nutrients and water to aid plant growth and sequesters carbon in the soil for hundreds of years. Biochar can strengthen concrete and bitumen/asphalt, as well as be used in water filtration and purification.
