National Close the Gap Day

Third Thursday in March

National Close the Gap Day brings people together in support of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health equity. It is led by the independent Close the Gap Campaign, a coalition of First Nations and mainstream organisations advocating for health equality and structural change.

The Close the Gap Campaign is distinct from the Australian Government’s Closing the Gap strategy. Activities should recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander leadership and the central role of Community Controlled Health Organisations.
