Practical lesson sequence

  1. Before: Introduce the learning focus and essential vocabulary. Invite prior knowledge without requiring students to disclose personal or family experiences.
  2. During and after: Read the Elders’ advice before revealing Guluu’s response. Students identify the problem, compare possible responses and create a calm-response storyboard using words and images.
  3. Evidence of learning: A three-panel storyboard explaining the problem, chosen response and likely consequence.
