Premium Light Clapsticks (Pair)
Handcrafted by Cade Burgess from Tasmanian dogwood (Pomaderris apetala), these finished clapsticks have a light natural timber appearance and a linseed oil finish. Linseed oil is derived from flax seeds.
Each pair has its own grain, knots, colour and shape. The group photograph shows examples of natural size and appearance variation; it does not represent the quantity supplied.
Light and dark are general colour descriptions. Natural timber tones and markings vary between pairs.
Sold as one pair: 2 clapsticks.
Clapsticks, known by many Aboriginal communities as Bilma, are among Australia's oldest and most recognisable traditional musical instruments. Used for countless generations across many Aboriginal Nations, they provide rhythm for song, dance, storytelling and ceremony, and continue to play an important role in cultural practice, education and community life today.
